Allan Kyōun Marett Roshi
Allan began his formal Zen training under Yamada Koun Roshi in 1976 and later became a student of Robert Aitken Roshi. Subsequently he studied with John Tarrant, Subhana Barzaghi and other Diamond Sangha teachers. He received dharma transmission from Subhana Barzaghi Roshi in 2018.
Allan teaches at the Adelaide Zen Group at St Chad Anglican Church (corner Cheltenham Place & Roseberry Ave, Cheltenham St, Highgate SA 5063) on Thursday evenings from 7.00-9.00pm. Further information please contact AZG here. Allan’s current teaching commitments are as follows listed below.
THURSDAY EVENING ZAZEN AND DOKUSAN WITH ALLAN MARETT ROSHI
Thursday evening zazen and dokusan with Allan Marett Roshi have resumed at St Chad’s Anglican Church. Details can be found here. Our evening practice will normally comprise sutras, zazen and dokusan. On the third Thursday of every second month Allan will lead a Precept Ceremony.
